First, I love that if I am looking for a particular book/DVD and it is at another location, I can request it. Then it is delivered to the library of my choice for pick-up. Another great feature is our library system has partnered with other library systems and we can request certain items from their libraries.
Another great perk is the magazines you can purchase for only 10cents. I have come across some great ones from cooking to architect designs. Sometimes I even recycle some of them back to the library.
Recently, I found out that twice a year there is a giant book sale. Besides books, there are dvds, and probably much more than I can recall. When you arrive, you are given a brown paper bag and you fill up that bag for $2.00. The only downfall is if you don't get there early on the first day, it is slim pickings.
Having a large family and the library free resources go hand and hand.
Stay Distracted,
